FAQ
How to take care of my gold or platinum croissant?
This is a little piece of art. Please keep in mind that the gold can wear off over time due contact with skin, moist, cosmetics, chemicals, seawater and perfume. Keep it in it's own pink box, away from moist and humid rooms like the bathroom. Don't swim, shower or exercise with it. Gilded items fade over time but you can maximize it's lifespan by taking good care of it. Remember you're wearing a delicate handmade necklace and it likes to be treated this way ;)
When will the gold and platinum croissants be available?
I work with different kinds of clay and temperatures. Producing a batch of gold porcelain croissants has to fit in in my schedule. Adding the gold or platinum is very time consuming, expensive and toxic. I can't work in my studio after using it and during firing it. On top of that it always need to be refired 1 time. This literal ruins days of studiotime! That's why they're not always available.
Can I pre-order?
When this is possible, you'll see a pre-order product you can purchase in the shop. This is the only way. Reservation by sending messages on instagram is not possible.
When will they be back in stock?
I'm not able to send messages about this individually. I try to restock as much as I can next to my other job. Checking out the shop is the best way to find out. I restock in small batches on a regular base. If you like to have updates, subscribe for receiving the newsletter.
What material is the croissant?
Porcelain, earthenware and stoneware. Some finished with 24krt gold or platinum details. Croissants spend 6 whole days in the kiln at temperatures between 1050 and 1250 degrees celsius.
Why is the back of my croissant pendant not glazed?
Otherwise it will melt on the bake tray ;) Look at your tableware, it has a unglazed ring on the bottom for the same reason.
My croissant is't exactly like the photo.
That's possible. I roll them all by hand and every batch is different. This is what we call handmade and makes every piece special and unique.
What material are the necklaces?
The chain I use is gilded rvs (304) produced in the EU. It contains only the necessary low percentage (EU approved) of nickel.
Necklace too long or too short?
You can leave a comment in the checkout with the requested length. Emails after your order could be read too late. Adjustments to your necklace after receiving it are possible but the shipping and return costs are yours.
What's your term of quarantee?
Gilded items wear off over time. There's no guarantee for normal wear and tear. I request to read this information in the product description.
Broken chain or clasp?
Send me a photo to info@vanrosa.nl with a description and the date you placed your order.
Collaboration?
Not at this moment, but feel free to send and email to info@vanrosa.nl if you think we're a perfect match. You'll never know..
Is it possible to order B2B?
I don't sell my work b2b. The demand is too high and the process too time consuming.
